Ref 6772.  One of our clients – a leading pharmaceutical company – has an opening for a Medical Science Liaison candidate who will be responsible for the medical and scientific support of Key Opinion Leaders and customers, thus leveraging the spread of knowledge and the reputation of the company and its products, laying the foundation for clinical practices and business achievements for the assigned therapeutic areas / products.

Duties include:

Liaising with and supporting the development of Key and Regional Opinion Leaders (KOLs / ROLs – e.g. Leaders at relevant University Hospitals).

Developing and executing plans to build and maintain strong medical relationships to expand research, advisory and educational partnership opportunities.

Working with the Medical Affairs Manager and commercial colleagues to ensure alignment and consistency in strategy and tactics.

Providing high quality medical and scientific support / communication to internal and external customers (e.g. Advisory Board meetings, regional training courses and/or workshops, together with KOL / ROL support of speakers with presentations and literature research.

Acting as backup to the Medical Affairs Manager for responding to medical enquiries from HPCs, as well as for Pharmacovigilance activities and Compliance related activities.

Ensuring that planned local medical activities are organised in consultation with commercial colleagues.

Complying with all R&D regulations, GCP, Department of Health, Marketing Code Authority policies and procedures and all relevant Laws and Regulations.

Skills and Requirements:

University Degree – Relevant medical/scientific degree, preferably a PhD.

Advanced scientific training combined with a broad knowledge of general medicine (or comparable).

A high level of medical/scientific knowledge in order to operate on a peer to peer level with KOLs.

Professional experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Fluency in English combined with excellent written and communication skills (including presentations).

Knowledge in planning and executing scientific studies.

Strong networking skills (includes internal teams).

Strong knowledge of GCP and relevant Regulations.
